We have decided to change the bed linen in your rooms every week. The same applies to your towels. If anything becomes dirty, we will change it sooner. In this way, we support the environment by reducing the number of deliveries and laundry loads for our laundry partner. If you would like your linen changed more frequently, you can of course book this as an additional service.

Coolants? Not with us. We cool our cooling systems and large cold stores using a CO² refrigeration system. This makes us one of the first companies to have completely converted. Without toxic coolants. And heating? We generate heat right next door. In our energy center, we burn wood pellets and wood chips from the region. This solution is both regionally sustainable and CO²-neutral. And electricity? Here, we have opted for the most sustainable resource there is: the sun. The Black Forest is not necessarily known for its abundance of sunshine. But when the sun shines, it really shines, and the solar panels on our roof capture every ray. And paper? All internal work processes are paperless. We receive invoices exclusively in digital form. Handover and task assignments for employees are communicated via an app. Duty rosters, vacation requests, and sick notes are uploaded to a tool. We also want to keep your registration form and invoice digital, but if you want to take a printed copy of your invoice with you, that is of course also possible.

Toothbrushes, combs, shower caps, razors, and sewing kits? We have everything you need at our hotel reception, but you will not find any of these items in your room. Disposable flip-flops? You will not find these in your room either. We kindly ask you to bring your own bathing slippers from home for your visit to the wellness area. If you do happen to forget them at home, we will of course provide you with a pair at our hotel reception. We have also decided not to use down bedding in our hotel. All our pillows and duvets are made from 100% recycled polyester in a 100% cotton cover.

We have several charging stations for your electric car. Reserve a spot in advance and charge your car overnight. We have a locked area inside the building for your bicycles. Your bike will be safe and protected from the rain here.

You will find almost no individually packaged food on our breakfast buffet; we buy most of it in bulk packaging. This is how we minimize packaging waste. We buy everything we can from regional suppliers. They don't even pack it in lots of plastic.

We turn the leftovers from the breakfast buffet into new dishes, such as smoothies, muffins, and dog treats. By carefully calculating our food portions, we avoid generating unnecessary waste. Trimmings are processed just like the leftovers.

The Black Forest has a lot to offer. The people here live with & for nature. We source first-class products from our immediate surroundings. Vegetables, cheese, fish, ... Your laundry is not far away either. We work together with a regional laundry service. This is located in Bonndorf. Only a few minutes away by car.
